Job summary

Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO) offers a 10-week Summer Analyst internship on the buy-side with exposure to credit research, private markets, and portfolio management. You will work alongside investment teams and participate in mentoring, a mock-trading competition, and an executive speaker series.

Successful interns may be invited back for a full-time Assistant Investment Analyst role; strong leadership and analytical skills are valued in a collaborative, values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Strong interest in financial markets and related coursework or activities.
• Proficiency in MS Office; coding knowledge is a plus (VBA, Python, R, Stata, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Assist investment teams in buy-side projects across different areas.
• Participate in mentoring, mock-trading, and speaker events during the internship.
