Job summary

KKR, a leading global investment firm, seeks a securities settlements professional to support DTC and Euroclear settlements, physical certificates, and derivatives clearing across multiple platforms. The role involves coordinating with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate settlement and issue resolution.

Strong knowledge of DTCC products and credit derivatives is required, with 2–4 years in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in securities settlements at an alt asset manager is preferred.
• Knowledge of securities including corporate bonds, convertibles, ABS, and equities.
• Experience with multiple settlement methods: DTC, Euroclear, Clearstream.
• Experience with DTCC products (CTM and Alert).
• Bloomberg experience is desirable.
• Understanding of a trade lifecycle and roles of custodian/clearing broker vs executing broker.
• Awareness of risks and controls related to T+1 settlements.
• Knowledge of commercial paper, options, and trade claims.
• Knowledge of credit derivatives – cleared and OTC, ISDA, short sales, portfolio margining.
• Understanding of bond repos.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and settlement service providers for timely trade instruction and matching.
• Settle trades and resolve confirmation, matching, and settlement issues with parties.
• Monitor daily failing trades and escalate buy-ins and issues to traders and ops management.
• Collaborate with front office and support teams on trade inquiries and issues.
• Confirm and affiliate cash and derivatives trades.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Recon on settlement issues.
• Onboard new accounts with internal systems and DTCC Alert.
• Identify control gaps and propose settlement/process improvements.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and service levels for internal clients.
• Manage and direct third-party settlements vendors.
