Job summary

The International Monetary Fund seeks an Investment Officer/Senior Investment Officer in Washington, DC, to lead private markets strategy, manager selection, and oversight for over USD 100 billion in IA/TA assets. The role focuses on debt, private infrastructure, and real assets, with close collaboration across the Investment Unit.

You will conduct due diligence, design policies, draft investment proposals, monitor external managers, and report performance and risk.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in economics, business administration or financial analysis with 4+ years of experience (10 years with a bachelor).
• CPA/CFA/FRM certifications are highly desired.
• 7+ years buy-side experience in private markets with LP/GP structures and co-investments.
• Strong network of private markets managers and funds.

Responsibilities

• Develop investment strategies for private assets including debt, infrastructure, and real assets.
• Design and implement investment policies, benchmarks and risk controls.
• Conduct external manager/fund searches, RFPs and negotiation of mandates.
• Monitor external managers and private funds for performance and compliance.
