Job summary

Arco Talent Group seeks a Senior Investment Associate to join the New York team, focusing on conventional energy investments and energy transition opportunities. You will originate ideas, conduct diligence, build financial models, and present investment memoranda to the investment committee.

You will work closely with senior leadership, manage relationships with management teams and counterparties, and travel as needed to site visits and conferences.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from a competitive university with a strong academic record. MBA welcomed but not required
• 4 to 7 years of relevant energy investment experience
• Experience across energy investment banking, energy-focused private equity, or corporate development in energy operator
• Direct conventional energy transaction experience
• A demonstrated ability to originate and defend investment ideas, not only execute on them
• Strong financial modeling skills across asset-level and corporate valuation
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the presence to sit across the table from management teams and counterparties
• Willingness to travel extensively

Responsibilities

• Originate and develop investment ideas, bringing differentiated views on basins, operators, and market dislocations
• Lead financial and asset-level modeling, including well economics, type curves, development scenarios, and full-cycle returns
• Own commercial, market, and technical due diligence workstreams end to end
• Manage portfolio assets through development, identifying value-creation opportunities through organic development, M&A, and other strategic alternatives
• Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to the investment committee and limited partners
• Build and carry relationships with management teams, advisors, and counterparties in the market
• Represent the firm externally at industry events, conferences, and portfolio site visits, with an expectation of significant travel

About the role

The Senior Investment Associate will join the team in New York and take a significant role in the firm's investment activity across the energy portfolio. The seat will focus initially on the firm's conventional energy portfolio and strategy, working closely with adjacent investment teams across the wider platform.

This is a seat for someone who has moved beyond execution support and is ready to originate ideas, hold conviction on investment views, and take a meaningful role in shaping how the firm deploys capital. The Senior Investment Associate will work directly with senior leadership on sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management, and will be expected to carry counterparty and management relationships in the market.
