Role Overview

The Investment Associate will be based in Brookfield’s New York office, reporting to the Managing Director, Investments. The role involves evaluating and executing investment opportunities across Brookfield’s portfolio of funds and portfolio companies in the energy sector.

Responsibilities
  • Build financial models, valuation analyses and investment materials to support transaction evaluation and decision‑making.
  • Conduct company, sector and market research to assess investment theses, trends, risks, value drivers and transaction outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, portfolio companies, operating partners and external advisors in support of due diligence workstreams.

Key Qualifications

  • Sound commercial judgment and attention to detail.
  • Interest in energy, infrastructure, industrials, and the energy transition; experience in energy, power, infrastructure, industrials or project finance considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 (base salary plus short‑term incentive program). Cash compensation may vary based on geography and is set to be market competitive.
