SIG Partners in Dallas is seeking a Senior Associate to contribute to direct deal execution within a lean team. You will develop a deep understanding of how lower middle market companies are analyzed, acquired, and developed, and gain exposure to sourcing, modeling, due diligence, and capital-raising activities.

You will also manage junior team members and support portfolio-company initiatives, with a focus on rigorous financial analysis and precise execution in a fast-paced private equity

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in investment banking or private equity.
• Extremely detail-oriented with high quality standards.
• Strong analytical and writing abilities.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Excel model outputs and PowerPoint decks for live deals.
• Build and actively manage LBO models and other financial models using our templates.
• Analyze confidential information memorandums (CIMs) and due diligence materials.
• Lead research and build lists of potential acquisition targets.
• Pre-screen potential company acquisition opportunities quickly with limited information.
• Support capital raising activities.
• Support portfolio companies on key strategic projects.
• Management of junior members of the investment team.

About the Role:

This position will contribute to direct deal execution as part of a lean deal team. The Senior Associate will develop a thorough knowledge of the process by which lower middle market companies are analyzed, purchased, developed, and sold. Associates will gain a working understanding of all industry participants involved in lower middle market transactions and will have the opportunity to be involved in acquisition sourcing, research, financial modeling, due diligence, investment thesis creation, capital raising, and closing deals. This position will also manage junior members of the investment team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Excel model outputs and PowerPoint slide decks to support live deals with high attention to detail.
• Build and actively manage leveraged buyout (LBO) models and other financial models using our templates.
• Analyze confidential information memorandums (CIMs) and other diligence materials.
• Lead research and build lists of potential acquisition targets.
• Pre-screen potential company acquisition opportunities quickly with limited information.
• Support various strategic initiatives and administrative tasks as required.
• Support capital raising activities.
• Support portfolio companies on various key strategic projects.
• Management of junior members of the investment team.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of previous work experience in investment banking or private equity required.
• Extremely detail and task oriented. High personal standard of quality and accuracy.
• Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments.
• Excellent analytical skills and writing ability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, PowerPoint slide building, and typing speed.
