THE ROLE

The role is a vital part of the Investments and Portfolio Management team that requires an ability to research new markets and opportunities, interact with potential investees, support the Head of Investments in daily activities, participate in portfolio companies on financial and strategic growth plans, and pursue both quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing investments. This role will work closely with the Head of Investments to execute exit opportunities. We operate in a fast-paced environment that demands proactive, efficient, and forward-thinking decision-making while demonstrating a high level of financial analysis and modeling.

Role Details as Sr. Analyst/Associate:

  1. Perform and present new investments, portfolio-level forecasting, and evaluations. Create and maintain internal systems to manage performance data across the investment portfolio.
  2. Monitor the financials of existing investments.
  3. Project manage due diligence processes, including review and analysis of documents and business data during diligence, to understand the need for business model pivots. Occasional field visits for due diligence may be required.
  4. Develop social impact metrics for our portfolio companies.
  5. Prepare investment notes, follow-on tranche/investment release notes, and other documentation as required.
  6. Support the Head of Investments and team in preparing and presenting investment requests to the Investment Committee.
  7. Assist in initiating and managing relationships with other investors and financial institutional partners such as private sector banks, VCs, etc.
  8. Support participation in and add value to the social impact ecosystem by engaging in panels, webinars, or relevant events to promote GMC and share financial learnings and expertise.
  9. Handle end-to-end due diligence processes for direct and Fund of Funds investments.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • CA / Tier 1 B-School MBA; Certifications such as CFA (USA) preferred.

  • Extensive financial modeling and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven personality with excellent oral, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Location: Mumbai (Work from Home – till pandemic subsides)
