Energy Storage Project Finance Analyst (Analyst to Associate level)

Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)

This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture with strong private equity backing, focused on developing, executing, and operating utility-scale energy storage projects.

They are industry leaders, with over 9GW of projects accumulated in a short period, currently expanding their Project Finance Team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding or quick learning ability of financial nuances in utility-scale renewables development, EPC, and operational transactions.
• Proven experience in financial modeling and debt equity structuring.
• Ability to communicate complex project finance initiatives clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience across project development, origination, interconnection, power markets, EPC, and construction financing.
• Preferably, exposure to off-take strategies, tax equity structures, and project bidding processes for energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate on financial modeling for utility-scale battery storage projects nationwide.
2. Own financial models related to off-take, bidding, debt/equity structuring, project sales, and tax incentives.
3. Develop financial analysis and forecasting tools for corporate financing and project assessments.
4. Review industry trends to optimize financial processes and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting power, renewables, capital markets, or energy infrastructure transactions.
• Strong project finance modeling skills in MS Excel and debt/equity structuring experience.
• Experience with complex debt/equity structures and tax equity transactions is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data clearly.
• Ability to participate in advanced discussions on renewables and storage projects.
• Understanding of US energy markets like PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO is a plus but not required.
