Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and developing new investment ideas across DeFi protocols and liquid tokens.
• Conducting deep fundamental, protocol-level and on-chain research.

• Producing clear, investment-grade research and investment memos.

• Monitoring existing investments and identifying when a thesis has strengthened, weakened or broken.

Job description

We are working with a specialist digital asset investment fund looking to add a Senior Investment Analyst to a lean, highly experienced investment team.

The fund takes a fundamental, longer-term approach to investing across DeFi protocols and liquid digital assets. This is not a quantitative trading, market-making or short-term yield farming role.

They are looking for an investor who combines the discipline of a professional investment environment with genuine crypto-native experience and can independently own investments from initial idea through to portfolio management.

The Role

You will work closely with the fund's senior investment team and take significant ownership across the investment process, including:

• Sourcing and developing new investment ideas across DeFi protocols and liquid tokens.
• Conducting deep fundamental, protocol-level and on-chain research.
• Analysing tokenomics, competitive positioning, governance, value accrual and protocol economics.
• Building investment theses and valuation frameworks.
• Producing clear, investment-grade research and investment memos.
• Making recommendations around capital allocation and position sizing.
• Monitoring existing investments and identifying when a thesis has strengthened, weakened or broken.

The Profile

The ideal candidate will have a combination of institutional investment discipline and crypto-native investing experience.

They are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Experience within a professional investment environment such as a hedge fund, asset manager, family office or investment fund.
• Subsequently developed meaningful professional experience investing across crypto and digital assets.
• Strong knowledge of DeFi protocols and liquid tokens, with experience actually deploying or influencing the allocation of capital.
• A genuinely fundamental investment mindset rather than purely systematic, trading or market-making experience.
• Experience taking investments from idea generation and due diligence through to valuation, sizing, monitoring and exit.
• Strong understanding of tokenomics, protocol economics and on-chain fundamentals.
• Experience using on-chain data and research tools to support investment decisions.
• The ability to communicate an investment thesis clearly and defend it under scrutiny.
• An existing body of investment research or written investment work.
