The Senior Associate of Investment Accounting compiles monthly and quarterly data, analyzes net investment income, gains and losses, and supports GAAP/STAT disclosures and Bermuda reporting. The role reports to the VP of Derivative Accounting and offers opportunities for professional development and advancement within a growing organization in the Nashville area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in the insurance industry or financial services.
• Experience handling large data volumes with GL and analysis tools.
• Strong GAAP and STAT investment accounting knowledge.
• Knowledge of ASC 815 derivative accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting close with journal entries and reconciliations for GAAP and STAT.
• Analyze investment income, yields, and gains/losses, including fair value changes.
• Support quarterly and annual statutory and GAAP disclosures and footnotes.
• Assist onboarding of new investment portfolios related to block acquisitions.
• Support Bermuda regulatory filings (BMA) requirements.
• Ensure internal controls over a diverse asset class mix and SOX compliance.
• Lead private equity data extraction from fund statements and system uploads.
• Drive continuous improvements in the investment close cycle.
