Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) seeks a Lead Investigator (Investigator IV) to perform highly complex investigative work across Texas. The role may supervise others and works with considerable independence, guiding investigations from start to finish.

Ideal candidates provide technical counsel to executive staff and divisions, reviewing requests, defining scope, applying state and federal laws, and coordinating with law enforcement. Travel up to 25% within Texas is involved.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience performing auditing or investigating work; or unemployment insurance claims examiner tasks; or gathering information, interviewing, counseling or in instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise.

Responsabilités

• Assist Department management with monitoring investigations, unit duties, and responsibilities.
• Review requests for investigations.
• Analyze issues/allegations to determine appropriate investigative approach.
• Prepare and review investigation plans; define scope and objective of investigations.
• Determine appropriate use of interview, interrogation, and other investigative techniques.
• Coordinate investigations with federal, state, and local law enforcement organizations; present testimony and evidence in hearings and court proceedings.
• Train and coach investigators, TWC staff, board staff, contractors, or others.
