District Attorney's Office in Dallas, TX seeks an Investigator II (Senior) to assist the Assistant District Attorney in investigating moderate to complex cases and handling special assignments. The role includes supervising staff and leading when multiple investigators are needed.

Responsibilities cover evidence collection, witness coordination, and trial preparation. Successful candidates will be certified peace officers with firearm proficiency and pass extensive background checks.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
• Two years peace officer experience OR Intermediate Peace Officer Certificate (TCLEOSE).
• Certified Peace Officer with firearm proficiency required.
• Must pass criminal background investigation and related assessments.

Responsabilités

• Assist in gathering data for moderate to complex cases and assist in plea negotiations.
• Locate and develop evidence to support cases and trial strategies.
• Plan and organize work independently for trials or dispositions.
• Reconstruct events, sequences, and time elements for criminal cases.
• Locate, interview, and notify witnesses; coordinate subpoenas and witness transport.
• Collect and prepare physical evidence; review autopsy and forensic reports.
