Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, focused on inventory and sales tax compliance.
• Experience in multi-unit retail environments ($100M+ revenue preferred).
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems; Mi9 experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and sales tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory accounting processes, ensuring GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports, identifying trends and variances.
• Perform accrual-based P&L reconciliations and monthly fluctuation analyses.
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to align cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Reconcile sales tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly and annual close processes with timely reporting.
• Provide documentation for audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives.
