Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced senior accounting leader to own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring US GAAP-compliant financial reporting and strong internal controls. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations, with NetSuite and ERP system proficiency. A CPA and multi-channel retail experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public or corporate accounting in a high-growth consumer brand
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• Experience leading a month-end close and preparing financial statements
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with multi-channel consumer/retail businesses (DTC/wholesale/retail) is a strong plus
• Hands-on and detail-oriented
• Ability to balance big-picture and granular details
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving processes
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
• Self-starter who drives initiatives from start to finish
• CPA certification

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting per US GAAP
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses
• Consolidate and review financial results for leadership and corporate reporting
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations across AP, AR, and expense management
• Partner with the Assistant Controller to maintain internal controls, SOX readiness, and audit compliance
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product development on budgets and monthly variances
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and best practices to scale accounting
• Mentor and develop accounting staff
• Bridge between Rhode's finance team and elf Beauty's corporate accounting function
