Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Senior Finance/Accounting professional to drive month-end close for Assets, Inventory, and Supply Chain areas. You will design scalable processes, partner with the business, and lead risk mitigation in a global, highly automated environment.

Applicants should have a CPA, 4+ years at a Big 4 firm plus 3+ years in industry, and a strong US GAAP background; exposure to global supply chains and cross-functional programs is a plus. This hybrid role reports to the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• CPA designation.
• 4+ years with a Big 4 accounting firm and 3+ years in industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close tasks related to Assets, Inventory, and Supply Chain accounting including ledger close, balance sheet and P&L reporting, flux analysis, and journal entries/reconciliations.
• Partner with the business to design and implement new operational processes and accounting flows; resolve gaps across the business area.
• Act as subject matter expert in Inventory and Supply Chain accounting to support system implementations and process improvements.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and elevate issues as appropriate.
• Prepare and present complex financial information to finance leaders, cross-functional partners, and auditors.
