Job summary

Johnson Controls in Milwaukee, Wisconsin seeks an Inventory Optimization Analyst to shape multi-million-dollar inventory plans across the supply network. You will analyze demand, supply and inventory signals and collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales and Data Analytics to improve service levels and reduce obsolete stock.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a quantitative field, 5 years in data analytics within supply chain, and proficiency in Python, R and Power BI.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
5 years of proven experience in data analytics preferably within Supply chain and logistics
Proven experience in statistical analysis, data modelling and manipulation and predictive analytics
Willingness to travel both domestic and internationally (20-30%) to understand sites and organizational challenges

Responsibilities

Develop inventory plans using optimization methods that support customer service levels and improve inventory turns.
Build and refine safety stock levels based on demand and supply variability.
Analyze customer demand and supplier performance to define breadth and depth of the inventory plan.
Create supply plans based on forecast input and seasonal fluctuations.
Lead monthly inventory review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders and track follow-up actions.
Identify process improvement opportunities that strengthen demand planning, supply planning, and inventory efficiency.
