Job summary

Ross Stores, a leading off-price retail chain, is seeking a Sr. Inventory Control Financial Analyst in Dublin, CA. You will develop and manage in-store inventory models, perform ad-hoc analyses, and work with executives to interpret results.

The role blends data analysis with strategic finance responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment. The position requires 5+ years of analytical experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and familiarity with MicroStrategy, Hyperion, and PeopleSoft.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of related analytical experience.
• Advanced Excel and Word; ability to learn MicroStrategy, Hyperion, and PeopleSoft Financial Systems.
• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead updating and enhancing weekly In-Store inventory model with inputs from sales, allocation metrics, DC production, etc.
• Prepare monthly Merchant Margin to Gross Margin variance analyses and quarterly variance analyses.
• Perform complex ad-hoc analysis on inventory metrics and present findings to executives and other business partners.
• Collaborate with Store & DC Ops to improve data integrity and operational metrics.
• Evaluate internal reporting and recommend improvements in timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of reporting procedures.
• Lead system projects, modifications, enhancements, and testing with requirements documentation.
