Job summary

Dollar General in Goodlettsville, TN seeks a Finance Analyst to validate and approve billing and payments for inventory service providers, and to perform journal entries and accruals for period closings.

You will oversee the physical inventory schedule process, coordinate with inventory service vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure inventories are scheduled and completed within company parameters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years experience in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Retail work experience a plus.
• Prior experience with data analytics and continuous improvement preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; database applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drives continuous improvement of inventory scheduling and day-of-inventory processes with partners.
• Produces financial and operational reporting and analysis for leadership advisement.
• Maintains documentation related to physical inventory processes and communicates updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitors inventory service invoice payments for accuracy and timeliness; completes period close tasks including journal entries and accruals.
• Produces and analyzes inventory schedule compliance and works with schedulers and field leadership to resolve issues.
