Job summary

Xylem in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Senior Material Support to lead inventory control, cycle counting, and ERP/SAP transactions, ensuring material accuracy and smooth production flow.

You will partner with Production, Planning and Shipping to investigate discrepancies, reconcile records, and improve warehouse efficiency; requires SAP experience, strong Excel skills, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years' experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Experience leading or participating in cycle count programs.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycle count programs.
• Perform cycle counts, recounts, physical inventories, and audits.
• Investigate variances and identify root causes of discrepancies.
• Reconcile differences between counts and ERP/SAP records.
• Monitor inventory accuracy for materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Review transactions and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Process and verify inventory transactions in SAP/ERP (receipts, issues, transfers, returns, adjustments).
• Ensure movements are documented and recorded accurately.
• Support order closure and maintain transaction compliance.
• Generate reports and analyze data to drive improvements.
• Maintain warehouse location accuracy and material flow standards.
• Assist receiving, unloading, and verification of inbound materials.
• Support shipping documentation and outbound fulfillment.
• Prioritize outbound shipments to meet customer commitments.
• Troubleshoot material flow issues impacting production or schedules.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Operations, Shipping, Receiving, and Customer Service.
