Job summary

Lightera in Georgia is seeking a Sr. Inventory Control Analyst to collaborate with Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations and Accounting to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure SAP material transactions across RM, WIP and finished goods are correct throughout the process.

The role includes coordinating cycle counts, leading month-end inventory efforts, and training SAP users while driving improvements in inventory location management and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Warehouse and Receiving experience required.
• Requires SAP experience in the Materials Management modules.
• Dependable and detail oriented, with a high sense of urgency.
• Good organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate process and recommend changes to improve Inventory Accuracy.
• Oversee and train SAP users on inventory transactions across shifts.
• Coordinate monthly cycle count schedule and report accuracy to supervisor.
• Lead month-end physical inventory counts and report results.
• Support month-end close in collaboration with Accounting.
• Provide input on Inventory Aging for raw materials and finished goods.
• Adjust system quantities and auditing for inventories.
• Investigate root causes of inventory errors and document lessons learned.
• Analyze and perform inventory corrections with proper approvals.
• Assist with inventory accuracy reporting and consolidation projects.
• Audit inventory moves and material transactions.
• Support SAP users in inventory transaction movements across shifts.
• Provide training for inventory location management and scanners.
