Job summary

Curran Recruiting seeks a Senior Inventory Accountant in Georgia to lead inventory accounting, reconcile balances, analyze variances, and support month-end closes. You will collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure accurate costing and reporting.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and advanced Excel. JD Edwards experience is a plus and internal controls improvements are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience with a focus on inventory and cost accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and inventory valuation methods
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards is a plus)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of inventory accounting, including reconciliation, adjustments, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure accurate costing and reporting
• Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and month-end close activities
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance internal controls
• Provide insights and reporting to leadership to support business decisions
