Job summary

Driven Brands, North America’s largest automotive services company, seeks a Senior Accountant, Inventory Accounting to support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit activity in a control-focused environment.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to understand inventory activity, strengthen reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting across the inventory accounting space, while contributing to process improvements and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting documentation requirements.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to inventory accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze inventory-related activity to identify trends, discrepancies, reconciling items, and potential process issues.
• Research and resolve differences between operational records, subledger activity, and general ledger balances.
• Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation supporting accounting conclusions and close deliverables.
• Execute SOX controls and maintain evidence of control performance and review readiness.
• Support cross-functional partnerships to improve documentation, reconciliation quality, and close consistency across inventory accounting areas.
