Job summary

Optimas Solutions in Wood Dale, IL, is seeking a Senior Accountant, Inventory to ensure accurate inventory reporting across product lines and warehouse locations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close including inventory accruals and cost-variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP as applied to inventory valuation and COGS.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close tasks including inventory accruals and related reconciliations.
• Perform cost variance analysis and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
• Support costing methodologies and analyze variances across locations.
• Analyze GRNI and book journals; reconcile balances.
• Review open/closed POs for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist Plant Controller with ERP tasks in Epicor including standard cost maintenance.
