Job summary

Albany Medical Center seeks an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist III to provide advanced invasive cardiovascular care in our Academic Cath Lab. The CVT III will function independently across diagnostic, interventional, and complex procedures, serving as a clinical resource and preceptor for staff.

The role offers exposure to STEMI care, complex coronary interventions, and evolving cardiovascular technologies within a high-acuity program.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent health science program.
Minimum three years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience.
Demonstrated advanced competency in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

Function independently across core and advanced Cath Lab responsibilities, including hemodynamic monitoring, procedural documentation, sterile technique, diagnostic catheterization, coronary intervention, and advanced cardiovascular procedures.
Demonstrate advanced scrub competency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization.
Anticipate procedural progression and equipment needs during high-acuity cases.
Apply advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, coronary angiography, and invasive technologies.
Support structural heart procedures, mechanical circulatory support, STEMI care, and other emergent therapies.
Serve as an advanced clinical resource and mentor developing staff.
