Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking an Interventional Radiographer II to join our Govans, MD team. The role focuses on performing advanced IR procedures with fluoroscopy, US and CT while maintaining the highest safety standards and patient care.

You will collaborate with radiologists and nurses to deliver excellent diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services. The position is full-time, emphasizing fast-paced, multidisciplinary collaboration and strict adherence to radiation safety

Qualifications

• Registered Radiographer with certification in Interventional Radiography or equivalent.
• Proven experience in interventional radiology techniques and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and radiographic procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and other modalities.
• Position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment according to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver care.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to complications or emergencies.
