Job summary

MedStar Health in Maryland seeks an Interventional Technologist II for a PRN role at Franklin Square Medical Center. You will perform vascular and neuro IR procedures, operate CT for IR, and support patient care with focus on safety and education.

Requirements include ARRT certification, state licensure, BLS; ACLS at designated sites; two years IR experience is preferred. Compliance with policies and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (cert before Jan 1, 2015)
• ARRT certification and state license required upon hire
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at designated sites
• MD/VA license preferred upon hire
• Two years IR imaging experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized vascular/non-vascular and/or neuro interventional procedures under supervision
• Operate CT scanners for IR procedures and diagnostic CT when applicable
• Ensure patient safety, prepare rooms, and maintain sterile technique
• Verify orders, prepare patients, and communicate procedures to promote understanding
• Maintain equipment and report issues promptly
• Document care in EHR and distribute final images to PACS for interpretation
