Job summary

EKU Careers on the Richmond Campus is seeking an Interpreter III to facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals and university and external contacts. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of directly related interpreting experience.

Licensure and certifications are essential: National Interpreting Certification and Full Interpreting License, with additional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Three years of directly related experience is required.
• National Interpreting Certification is required and must be a member in good standing.
• Full Interpreting License is required and must be maintained.
• Additional certifications in various areas of expertise are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct interpreting services between Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals and university stakeholders. Requires high-level bilingual linguistic competency.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure department effectiveness and compliance with laws and policies.
