Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC invites a Senior Programs Specialist to join the International Disaster Response Unit (IDRU). You will lead IMT operations, coordinate with DART leadership, and help shape strategic responses in disaster settings, all while advancing project goals that reflect the organization’s gospel-centered mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or International Development, or related field.
• Four+ years of international field leadership and program management experience.
• 12 credit hours of Biblical Studies (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Incident Management Team (IMT) and coordinate with Senior Leadership and DART.
• Manage IMT strategy and engage in grant proposal processes.
• Develop framework, proposals, and budgets for future responses.
• Mentor DART members through training and position checklists.
• Deploy in key leadership roles and oversee field staff.
• Support transition from emergency response to field office or recovery.
• Analyze pre-positioned DART inventory and report on activities.
