Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking an Internal Technical Trainer – Level 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA. The role trains Assemblers, Technicians, Quality Inspectors, and Engineers in IPC standards and related policies, with a focus on certification maintenance and process improvement.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience (or equivalent), holds current IPC certifications, and operates onsite with a 9/80 schedule—every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5 years of professional experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Clearance: No clearance required to start.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing/inspection of PCBs, electronic assemblies, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain training matrix for Operations and J-STD-001 certification requirements.
• Provide advanced soldering, application techniques and spot training for Operators; ensure adherence to IPC/WHMA and J-STD-001 standards.
• Create and disseminate training documentation for specialized training; review workmanship against J-STD-001 criteria.
• Implement improvement opportunities (e.g., Zero Defect Plans, Corrective Actions).
