Job summary

Artemis Security is hiring its first Security Engineer to own internal security at the company. In a cybersecurity company, internal security isn't a checkbox - it's a reflection of everything we sell.

This hands-on, senior IC role will be the technical owner of Artemis's internal security posture, building the systems, controls, and programs that protect the company from the inside out. You will work closely with leadership, engineering, and security teams, and shape the security foundation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
• Own internal security programs end-to-end.
• Experience with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits and evidence collection.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, endpoints, and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Own Artemis's internal security posture end to end, including endpoint security, identity management, network security, email security, and cloud security.
• Design and run our identity strategy across SSO, MFA, conditional access, and privileged access management.
• Build and operate our vulnerability management program, including patching and continuous monitoring.
• Lead incident response for internal security events, from detection to post-mortem.
• Drive our compliance work (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001) with auditors.
• Build and run the security awareness program, including training and phishing simulations.
• Set and maintain security policies, standards, and internal documentation.
• Own vendor risk and third-party security reviews.
• Partner with product security and engineering leadership to keep internal and product security aligned.
• Hands-on with security tooling (EDR, SIEM, IAM, MDM, DLP).
