Job summary

Artemis Security is hiring our first Security Engineer to own internal security at the company. This hands-on role is the technical owner of Artemis's security posture, building the systems, controls, and programs that protect us from the inside out.

You'll report to leadership, partner with the founders, engineering, and security teams, and have the autonomy to build the security foundation the right way from day one.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on security engineering at a top-tier software/tech company.
• Experience with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits, including scoping and evidence collection.
• Strong understanding of attacker tradecraft and real breach scenarios.
• Direct experience leading incident response for internal security events.
• Able to build security programs from scratch in a fast-moving startup.

Responsibilities

• Own Artemis internal security posture end-to-end including endpoint, IAM, network, email, and cloud security.
• Design and run identity strategy across SSO, MFA, conditional access, and privileged access management.
• Lead incident response for internal security events and post-incident reviews.
• Drive compliance work for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001; coordinate with auditors.
• Build security awareness program and policy documentation; maintain vendor risk reviews.
