Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled financial management consultant to support a homeland security government agency in the Washington, DC area. You will work on transforming financial management processes using analytics, automation, and data visualization tools to drive data-driven decisions across finance, accounting, and budget offices.

Role involves collaboration with senior management, business development activities, and mentorship of staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, process improvement or related field.
• Knowledge of OMB Circular A-123, GAO Green Book, CFO Act, FMFIA, PIIA.
• Experience with Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, data analysis, and trend identification.

Responsibilities

• Transform FM processes with analytics & automation using PowerBI/Tableau, SharePoint/Power Platform, and AI/ML solutions.
• Identify and deliver end-to-end process improvements and implement changes to optimize operations.
• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and manage change requests to prevent recurrence.
• Embed FM standards and federal policy requirements into solution design with stakeholders.
• Create trainings, user guides, SOPs, memos, and presentations for executives and process owners.
• Develop realistic project plans and provide regular status updates to senior clients.
• Collaborate with team members and senior stakeholders to modernize financial processes.
