Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA, based in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Sr. Internal Controls Analyst to support the Internal Controls Manager in developing and maintaining a robust controls environment. You will engage in risk assessment, control creation, implementation, and continuous monitoring to safeguard the organization.

The role requires collaboration with business leaders, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%. This position is located at the corporate office in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
• Professional designation (CPA, CIA, etc.) or in progress preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related area.
• Strong ability to build relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and establishing internal controls strategy.
• Assist in managing process and control owner relations.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders to improve controls.
• Develop and maintain an effective internal controls environment.
• Monitor internal control weaknesses and track remediation plans.
• Coach and partner with process/control owners to embed controls.
• Plan and implement periodic internal controls monitoring assessments.
• Support risk assessments and remediation activities.
• Ensure controls reflect business risks and stay fit for purpose.
• Review control design effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Assess IT risks and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Stay updated on developments affecting controls and audits.
