Children’s National Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist to plan, develop, and oversee employee and business communications aligned with the hospital’s mission and strategic plan. You will write, edit, and disseminate content for thousands of employees and lead critical department projects with accountability for outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or Communications.
5 years of experience in communications; 5–8 years strongly preferred.
Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
Ability to work autonomously and propose solutions aligned with business goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including AP Style.

Responsibilities

Develop strategic, effective employee and business communication messages and plans.
Oversee prioritization of messages to ensure timely information for 6,500+ employees.
Collaborate with stakeholders to create employee communication programs.
Create and measure tools to monitor the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
Write, edit, and produce content across articles, intranet, email, and videos.
Coordinate events logistics and communications for department initiatives.
