Job summary

Highmark Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst with deep SAS expertise to support system applications and integrations.

The role involves working with customers and developers to capture needs, analyze workflows, and implement solutions that may include training and process improvements. You will mentor junior staff, Lead testing activities, and drive value across business areas while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and other standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–7 years in a relevant operational area (e.g. customer service, claims, enrollment and billing) including 3–5 years of technical application experience.
• Preferred 3–5 years in Health Insurance and Healthcare industries; Lean/Six Sigma; SAS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role with customers, Application Developers, and team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions on complex issues.
• Participate in the full project life cycle and lead project teams as needed.
• Provide required business and/or subject matter expertise for project and production activities on complex issues.
• Ensure SOC 2 and other standards compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interface with business areas, technical staff, and project teams to drive value and ROI; propose cost-effective solutions.
• Lead requirements testing activities to minimize production defects and ensure quality outcomes.
• Run system reports and perform complex data analyses from multiple sources to verify performance and results.
• Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders and maintain concise documentation.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic direction in Product and Technology Solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
