Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead SOX testing across the Americas and perform operational internal audits. You will serve as the SOX PMO, coordinate regional activities, plan and execute the SOX program, perform risk assessments, test plans, and present results to management.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting and at least five years in internal audit (three with a Masters). International travel is expected 3–5 times per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum five years of relevant internal audit experience (or three years with a Masters).
• CPA/CIA/CISA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, GAAP, and SOX requirements.

Responsibilities

• SOX PMO: coordinate SOX activities across regional teams.
• Lead annual SOX program planning, risk assessments, test plan development, and results communication.
• Lead and execute walkthroughs and complex control testing for SOX compliance in the Americas.
• Support audit leads in planning and executing operational audits and special projects.
• Assess risks and control effectiveness across operations, finance, compliance, and IT; provide practical recommendations.
• Mentor less experienced team members and liaison with PwC for external inquiries.
• Build relationships with management and advise on governance, risk, and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of audit methodologies, tools, analytics, and processes.
• Travel internationally about 3–5 trips per year for assignments.
