Job summary

Alliance Health seeks an Internal Auditor II to provide senior advisory and audit support, with responsibility for audit programs, governance, risk management, and internal controls. The role emphasizes adherence to IIA standards and professional guidance while enabling remote work with occasional travel to the Morrisville, NC home office for on-site team meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human services, or other appropriate areas plus seven (7) years’ auditing experience.
• Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, human services, or other appropriate areas plus five (5) years’ auditing experience.
• Contract review and delegation oversight experience is required, along with demonstrated experience developing audit criteria in situations with no prior audit framework.
• Three years of experience in managed care or government in an audit capacity is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive internal audit initiatives, special projects, and improvement initiatives.
• Develop and apply audit criteria and performance measures for assigned engagements.
• Apply IIA-aligned audit methodology to evaluate internal controls and operations.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to internal auditor staff and compliance auditors.
• Communicate audit results via reports and presentations to management and stakeholders.
