Job summary

Alliance Health in North Carolina is seeking an Internal Auditor II for a full-time remote role based in NC. The position requires auditing expertise, adherence to IIA standards, and the ability to support governance, risk management, and internal controls.

The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina and be willing to travel to the Morrisville home office for onsite team meetings as needed; a strong background in healthcare or government auditing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus minimum seven years’ auditing experience, or Master’s plus five years’ auditing experience.
• Contract review and/or delegation oversight experience required.
• Experience developing audit criteria where no prior framework exists.

Responsibilities

• Drive internal audit initiatives and projects per IIA standards.
• Develop audit criteria and performance measures for engagements.
• Apply IIA-aligned methodology evaluating internal controls and operations.
• Provide guidance and review for junior staff.
• Prepare audit and advisory reports for leadership review.
• Communicate results via reports and presentations to management.
