Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join our Technology enterprise team in a hybrid role. You will perform infrastructure audits and contribute to assessing cybersecurity and IT operations, reporting findings to leadership and ensuring controls are effective.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work with cross-functional teams, manage audit tests, and mentor junior staff while advancing risk management and governance across the firm’s technology landscape.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years IT audit experience with growing responsibility.
• Financial services and/or Big 4 accounting experience a plus.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA strongly preferred; other certs considered.
• Understanding of risks and internal controls and the ability to evaluate control adequacy and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and execution of IT infrastructure audits.
• Ensure work adheres to IIA standards and IAD policies.
• Draft audit deliverables, scope discussions, testing, and working papers.
• Track team operations, audit status, issue status, and budgets.
• Identify and draft audit observations for review with leadership.
• Validate remediation actions with business teams.
• Contribute to annual risk assessment and documentation of risk ratings.
• Provide coaching and onboarding support to new team members.
• Complete firm-wide and departmental training requirements.
• Assist with special projects related to process improvement.
