Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation’s Internal Audit Department seeks a Senior IT Auditor to focus on BDAM application controls and technology risk. You will plan and execute audits, test controls, and collaborate with external co-sourcing providers while guiding junior team members.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5+ years of information technology audit experience.
• Financial services and/or Big 4 Accounting experience a plus.
• Demonstrated experience performing internal audits in a complex environment.
• Knowledge of control theory and professional auditing practices.
• Ability to work in a project team and collaborate with external co-sourcing providers.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred; other certifications considered.
• Understanding of risks and internal controls; ability to assess effectiveness.
• Awareness of industry/regulatory issues and modern audit methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit planning and execution for technology-focused internal audits.
• Ensure work complies with IIA standards and IAD policies; participate in meetings and testing.
• Draft and debrief audit observations with partners at VP level and below.
• Validate audit issue action plans with business owners.
• Participate in annual Risk Assessment and risk scoring activities.
• Provide coaching, onboarding, and mentorship to team members.
• Handle departmental administration and training requirements.
• Assist with special projects related to process improvement.
