Job summary

IG North America is seeking an Internal Audit Manager in Chicago to join our Global Internal Audit team. You will partner with UK and Polish colleagues to evaluate risk management and provide independent assurance to the Board and Executive Management.

You will lead assurance activities across finance, trading, technology, and operations, guiding engagement teams and driving high‑quality findings and remediation tracking in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of post‑qualified Internal Audit experience.
• Background in Internal Audit, Risk, or Compliance.
• Strong grounding in finance and economics with interest in financial markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex issues.
• Sound judgment with the ability to challenge at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan assurance work using a risk‑based approach and define objectives.
• Lead fieldwork across diverse business activities including walkthroughs and testing.
• Write clear audit reports with actionable recommendations and present to senior management.
• Track remediation and ensure timely closure of high‑risk issues.
• Contribute to audit planning and keep methodologies current.
• Coordinate with governance bodies and cross‑functional teams across time zones.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the UK and Poland on engagements.
