Job summary

PSERS in Harrisburg, PA, seeks an experienced leader to provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership within the Internal Audit office. The role collaborates with assurance providers and delivers independent risk-based assurance and advisory services to strengthen governance, risk management and controls.

The successful candidate will oversee audit engagements, lead data analytics initiatives, ensure adherence to professional standards, and develop staff while communicating audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 18 college credits in accounting/finance/IT or equivalent experience.
• Five years of professional accounting or IT auditing experience combining with a related degree.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead pension and financial risk assessments and annual audit planning.
• Oversee audit engagements, directing scope, testing and staff guidance.
• Advance technology-enabled, data-driven auditing techniques.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and update methods for new risks.
• Communicate audit outcomes and recommendations to leadership and committees.
• Supervise audit staff and foster continuous improvement.
