Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to develop and lead internal audit programs, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. You will prepare management reports with improvement recommendations and work with process owners to implement action plans.

The role involves moderate to high complexity engagements, reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Audit. A hybrid work model is expected, with a preference for candidates near Madison, WI or Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-oriented solutions or service.
• Experience managing large projects.
• Insurance industry experience or knowledge of risk management/audit principles.
• Ability to communicate/present complex concepts with unbiased decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and analyzes risks to the organization.
• Partners with second lines of defense to identify risk from internal and external sources.
• Completes internal audit's risk assessment to document risks and controls.
• Creates test plans and complex audit programs to assess design and operating effectiveness of main controls.
• Conducts test procedures as outlined in detailed audit program.
• Documents and analyzes test results, identifying areas of issue.
