Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking an experienced internal auditor to develop, plan, and lead the execution of internal audit programs, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. You will prepare management reports, identify risks across operations, IT, and finance, and partner with process owners to recommend and implement improvement actions.

You will work about 10 days per month from the office and reside within 35–50 miles of Madison, WI or Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer-oriented solutions or service.
• Experience managing large projects.
• Insurance industry experience or knowledge of risk management/audit principles.
• Ability to communicate/present complex concepts and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze risks across the organization.
• Partner with second lines of defense to identify risks from internal and external sources.
• Complete risk assessments to document risks and controls.
• Create test plans and audit programs to assess control design and operating effectiveness.
• Conduct test procedures and document results; develop management action plans.
