Job summary

Albemarle Corporation is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The role is hybrid (3 days in office) and focuses on audits, SOX testing, and ITGCs.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze data for risk insights, and support special projects to strengthen controls and business processes. This position requires 2–4 years of audit experience and professional certifications or intent to obtain them.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in accounting, finance or related field is required.
• Professional certifications (CPA/CIA/CISA/CFE) or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
• 2–4 years of Big Four audit or equivalent experience and strong SOX know-how.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of audits: planning, testing, reporting and remediation follow-up.
• Test the SOX program and assess internal controls and ITGCs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on engagements.
• Analyze data to identify risks, trends, and control gaps.
• Assist with special projects including process improvements and investigations.
