Job summary

Lucid Motors in Southfield, MI is seeking a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer - Interiors to lead APQP/PPAP-driven supplier readiness and quality from design through mass production. The role requires coordinating with global suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and early risk resolution.

You will guide design-for-manufacturing, manage engineering changes, and drive supplier audits, capability improvements, and process validation to meet Lucid's quality standards

Qualifications

• 8+ years in high-volume manufacturing or assembly-plant environments.
• 6+ years of APQP and PPAP project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience with interior components and complex assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, DFM/A, GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier APQP execution from design through PPAP and mass-production launch.
• Drive design for manufacturing reviews and translate requirements into quality expectations.
• Manage engineering design changes and ensure production controls are updated.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and site inspections with improvement plans.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Purchasing, NPI, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Analyze build data to evaluate process capability and mitigate risk.
• Ensure alignment with ISO 9001, AIAG, and IATF 16949 quality tools.
