Job summary

Cuningham seeks a Certified Project Interior Designer in Denver with a strong interior architecture background. You will lead interior projects through all phases, coordinating with architecture and consultants to reinforce design intent and documentation.

You will mentor junior staff while managing finishes, materials, lighting, and furniture selections, ensuring code compliance and smooth permitting. Excellent client communication is essential.

Qualifications

• NCIDQ Certification is required.
• 7+ years of professional interior design experience leading projects through all phases (concept through construction administration).
• Multi-market experience across workplace, hospitality, healthcare, education, and other sectors.
• Strong Interior Architecture background and ability to coordinate architectural systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development, coordination, and production across small to medium projects.
• Direct client communication and manage expectations with clear feedback between teams and clients.
• Produce and review drawing sets, including redlines, aligning with design intent.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and permitting processes for interior projects.
• Participate in construction administration including site visits, RFIs, and submittals.
