Job summary

Performance Contracting Group, a national employee‑owned specialty contractor, seeks a Senior Estimator - Interior Services for its Dallas, TX operations based in Midlothian, TX. You will provide estimating services for interior scopes of work.

Roles include preparing bids, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and developing client relationships to meet PCI objectives. Must have strong reading of specs, schedules and cost analyses; On-Screen Takeoff/Quick Bid proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience estimating construction projects.
• 10+ years total experience in construction.
• Experience estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret specs/drawings for PCI’s scopes.
• Record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations.
• Proficiency with takeoff/estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, PlanSwift.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Willingness to expand knowledge about product lines/scopes.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs for applicable scopes of work.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes for alignment with bid documents.
• Develop relationships with local customers to support PCI objectives.
• Collaborate with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Attend pre‑bid site walk‑throughs.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates.
• Dissect projects into functional stages and review schedules.
• Write detailed, complete proposals and bid analyses.
• Prepare financial job cost analyses.
• Source subcontractors, materials, and equipment with competitive pricing.
• Provide training and leadership to Estimating team as needed.
• Maintain accountability of business metrics and sales plans.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings for major pursuits.
