Job summary

BI-SI Solutions in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Interior Designer / Space Planner to support the Army National Guard facility management. You will lead interior space planning, furniture planning, and CAD development for government spaces, coordinating with engineers, vendors, and stakeholders.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and knowledge of facility standards and procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7–10 years in interior design, space planning, or government/workplace design.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills with floor plan and design intent documentation.
  • Experience with systems furniture, demountable walls, and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings and understand building systems.
  • Excellent communication and multi-project coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interior space plans and furniture layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Survey spaces, workflows, and future space requirements for reconfiguration.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and end users for project planning and closeout.
  • Prepare finish schedules, furniture specs, and design packages for review.
  • Maintain project data in facility management systems and track progress.
