Job summary

Pembrooke & Ives is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead luxury interior design projects from concept through completion. Based in New York City with some flexibility for remote work, you will oversee space planning, material specification, and coordination with architects and contractors, while guiding junior designers.

The role emphasizes strong ownership, client presentations, adherence to design standards, and delivering spaces that balance form and function for a discerning clientele.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• At least 7 years of work experience in interior design and/or architectural firms.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept through completion, developing design schemes and space planning.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants and contractors; review construction drawings and specifications.
• Manage project timelines and budgets; guide junior/intermediate designers on job sites and in studio.
• Present to clients, participate in meetings, and ensure design solutions meet budget and functional goals.
